The Charleston Police Department stated that officers were dispatched to the area about an hour earlier, at approximately 5:30 p.m., after receiving reports of a disturbance involving gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered Frazier in the front yard of a home. Sadly, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police also located another adult man who had sustained injuries from the incident. Emergency crews transported him to a nearby hospital, where his condition has since been described as stable. Authorities confirmed that the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

As of Thursday, no arrests have been made in connection with the case, which remains under active investigation. Detectives are continuing to gather information and review all available evidence.

Investigators said that in the aftermath of the struggle, a relative of the injured man discharged a weapon, which struck Frazier. He did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly after officers arrived.

Authorities noted that the individual who fired the weapon remained on the scene and cooperated with officers by identifying himself immediately. Detectives are now working to determine the sequence of events and evaluate the circumstances that led to the confrontation.
