Falus A. Ali Obituary, Death – Authorities in St. Cloud have released the identities of both the victim and the suspect in a deadly stabbing that occurred late Tuesday night in the city’s east side. According to a statement from the St. Cloud Police Department, the woman who lost her life has been identified as 24-year-old Falus A. Ali of St. Cloud. The individual accused in the case has been named as 26-year-old Saleebaan Abdirisaaq, also a resident of St. Cloud.

The incident unfolded around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday when dispatchers received a 911 call that ended abruptly. Responding officers were sent to the 1000 block of St. Germain Street East to investigate. Upon arrival, they discovered Ali suffering from multiple stab wounds. Emergency medical services were immediately called, and Ali was rushed to St. Cloud Hospital. Despite medical efforts, she was later pronounced dead from her injuries.

Authorities stated that Abdirisaaq was found at the scene shortly after officers arrived. He was taken into custody without resistance and booked into the Benton County Jail. At this time, he is being held as prosecutors review evidence to determine the appropriate charges. Officials have indicated that second-degree murder charges are possible, though final decisions have not yet been made.

Police confirmed that Ali and Abdirisaaq were acquainted prior to the incident. The nature of their relationship has not been publicly detailed, but investigators noted that the case does not appear to involve a random act of violence. Detectives are working to piece together the series of events leading up to the fatal encounter, including what may have sparked the confrontation.

The St. Cloud Police Department, in collaboration with the Benton County Attorney’s Office, continues to investigate the case. Officials have not yet disclosed whether the stabbing took place inside a residence, outdoors, or in another setting along St. Germain Street East.

The St. Cloud Police Department issued a statement reassuring the public that there is no ongoing threat, as the suspect is already in custody. They also encouraged anyone with additional information about the events of Tuesday night to come forward and assist with the investigation.

As of now, Abdirisaaq remains in the Benton County Jail while investigators finalize their case.
